Tixel:

A totally new way of treating skin using thermo-mechanical ablative (TMA) technology. In simple terms, it uses direct heat to obtain anti-ageing effects and improve scarring.

Tixel is an advanced skin treatment used for three main purposes:

Skin tightening:
To strengthen the skin (dermis) to improve lines, wrinkles, sagging skin and dilated pores, as well as acne scars.

Skin resurfacing:
To regenerate the epidermis to improve skin tone or reduce pigmentation. Active acne also responds very well to Tixel.

Drug penetration:
Tixel is used to create small pores in the skin to allow the drug to penetrate the skin. These can include drugs that reduce pigmentation, increase collagen production and relax muscles.

Dermato-cosmetic fillers:
A filler can be injected under the skin to give the face a fuller, more youthful appearance. This is a good way to combat static wrinkles. Static wrinkles are not related to muscle movements, but are caused by the skin sagging. Examples include lines on cheekbones, cheeks and chin or drooping corners of the mouth. Contours can be improved too. Fillers are also used to make lips appear younger and fuller.

Dermato-cosmetic muscle relaxation with Botulinum toxin injections
The muscle relaxant is a protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It has the effect of blocking the transmission of stimuli from nerves to muscles, reducing or halting their function.

Forehead wrinkles, the frown between the eyebrows and crow’s feet on either side of the eyes can be treated with it.

The effect of muscle relaxing treatment is smoother skin. The disappearance of annoying frown or forehead lines and/or crow’s feet will give you a more youthful appearance. Some patients also report that the area that was treated feels more relaxed.
