Information obligation statement (data protection statement)
We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data. Therefore, we only process your data on the basis of legal grounds (GDPR, TKG 2003). This data protection information provides you with information on the most important aspects of data processing in the context of our website.
You have the legal right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, withdrawal and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data contravenes data protection law or that your legal data protection rights have been violated in some way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
If you contact us via the form on the website, by phone or e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for processing your request and in case of any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to third parties without your consent.
This website uses cookie technology:
Certain data is collected depending on your web browser settings. The data is automatically forwarded to the website provider by your browser using a cookie when you visit this website. This information usually concerns the IP address assigned to your computer and the type of operating system and browser installed. A cookie is a small text file that originates from a web server and is stored on your computer’s hard drive. A distinction is made between a ‘session cookie’ and a ‘persistent cookie’.
Session cookies: A session cookie is created each time you visit this website. It contains a randomly created, unique distinguishing number that is assigned to your computer. The validity of a session cookie automatically expires when the browser is closed. Session cookies are used to support website functionality and to find out more about your use of the website, i.e. which pages you open, which links you click and how long you stay on the various pages.
Persistent cookies: Persistent cookies are used insofar as they are permitted. These cookies do not expire when you close your browser, but remain on your hard drive until they expire after a certain period of time or are deleted by you. Each time you visit this website, the web server recognises the persistent cookie stored on your computer’s hard drive. Agreeing to the persistent cookie and thus the long-term, unique recognition of your computer, means your preferred settings and how they are used can be stored in a database. This allows us to establish how often you visit this website, how your user habits change and the effectiveness of the website’s advertising activities. No personal data is stored with this information, only the actions performed with your computer.
If you click through to the website via an e-mail that you have received, or if a ‘user identity’ was created during your visit, the information provided by the website or by third-party cookies may be linked to information from the provider’s website databases, which can be used to link back to your identity.
Web beacons: the website may contain pixel graphics. These are called ‘web beacons’, ‘single-pixel GIFs’ or ‘clear GIFs’. Third parties may use web beacons, to learn more about the behaviour of website visitors and assess the performance of advertising activities. Web beacons can also be used in advertising e-mails to determine whether they are opened and trigger user activity. The information stored in web beacons is only linked to your personal data if you have given your prior consent. By clicking a link in an advertising e-mail sent to you with your consent, you consent to the use of web beacons, provided you do not prevent the installation of these web beacons by changing the settings in your computer.
Cookies currently used on the website (current status of our cookie use, their purpose, their impact on privacy and their permanence):
Session ID: the web server may install session cookies that are required for the use of certain interactive elements of the website (e.g. contact forms or login). The cookie contains a session ID, which allows your visit to our website to be distinguished from any other visitor visiting the website at the same time. Session cookies are necessary for use of the website and do not require your consent.
Analytics: the website uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics installs multiple first mover cookies, which guarantee that each subsequent visit to the website can be assigned to the same (unique) visitor. Moreover, this allows you to see how you found the page.
Website navigation: the content management tool installs several first mover cookies. These are session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser. These cookies are decisive for the correct functioning of our website. This data is bundled and can be assigned to someone.
Based on the data, recorded with the help of first mover cookies, reports are produced in bundled form, revealing how the visitor found and uses the website. Information on all visitor behaviour is gathered with the help of this report. This information is used to update and improve the website.
Third-party cookies: third-party cookies are cookies installed by partners. If the partner obtains permission to place a cookie on a page of a website, the website provider will point out the rules and inform you that the report of the information collected using these cookies requires the visitor’s consent. You can refuse permission if you change your computer’s settings.
Cookies from advertising partners are used and external third-party content is embedded in the website. These are cookies that are part of the third parties’ domain, which means they are presented and managed by these third parties. These third parties include Facebook and Twitter. You can view the cookie guidelines of these third parties on their respective websites. Furthermore, the Google-Maps tool and Facebook’s ‘I like’ plug-in are used. These are subject to the relevant third-party data protection provisions. The website provider has no direct control over the content of the cookies installed by these plug-ins.
Miscellaneous: Occasionally, other services are tested, which may install cookies on your computer. In that case, the corresponding usage method is applied here.
This is how to change your cookie settings

Our website uses functions of the Google Analytics web analysis service by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA. Cookies are used in the process, allowing analysis of the use of the website by its users. Information obtained in this way is forwarded to the service provider’s server in the US and stored there. You can prevent this by setting your browser so it does not store cookies. We have entered into a related agreement with the service provider to process order data. We use Google Analytics with the IP anonymisation function. As a result, your IP address is shortened and anonymised. The relationship with the web analysis provider is based on an Adequacy Decision by the European Commission under Google’s Privacy Shield. Such data processing is a consequence of the legal provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and Art. 6 (1) (a) (consent) and/or (f) (rights-holder involvement) of the GDPR. Our aim in adhering to the GDPR (rights-holder involvement) is to improve our offer and our website. User data will be stored for 26 months. Google offers a Browser Add-on for deactivating Google Analytics. You can find it here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Our website uses the remarketing functions of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.
With your permission, in our Internet activities we use the ‘Pixel visitor actions’ of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (’Facebook’). This allows us to track users’ activities after they have seen or clicked an ad displayed on Facebook. As a result we can adjust the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected as a result is anonymous, which means we do not see the personal data of the individual user. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook, about which we will inform you to the best of our knowledge. Facebook may link this data to your Facebook account and also use it for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Facebook’s data use guidelines: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/ You can disable ads from Facebook and its partners on and outside Facebook. Furthermore, a cookie may be installed on your computer for this purpose.
Our Internet activities use several plug-ins from Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. You can recognise these plug-ins by the blue ‘F’ for Facebook, or the fact that the plug-in is marked with the word ‘Facebook’. When contact is made with our website, these plug-ins connect to Facebook’s server and transfer data. First, the information you see is transmitted directly from the server to your browser, where it is displayed. On the other hand, information about your visit to our website is transmitted to Facebook. If you are logged into Facebook, the information transmitted can be linked directly to your account. When interacting with the functions of the plug-ins, for example by clicking the ‘I Like’ button, this information is transmitted by your browser directly to Facebook and stored there. The further processing of this information rests with Facebook; you can consult the corresponding conditions and setting options in Facebook’s data protection guide. If you want to prevent your personal data being passed on to Facebook, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
Data storage during online booking
We would like to point out that cookies and the subscriber’s IP data are stored for the online booking and subsequent processing of the contract with the online booking system, as well as the data of the person making the booking that was communicated during the online booking.
In addition, all booking data necessary for contract processing will be stored by us. The data supplied by you is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude the contract with you. This data is not subsequently transferred to third parties, with the exception of the corresponding channel manager, the hotel programme or the transfer of credit card data to the handling bank/payment institution for the purpose of payment of the online booking, and to our tax consultant for the fulfilment of our tax obligations.
If the online booking is cancelled, the data stored by us is deleted. In the case of a successfully completed online booking, the relevant data from the contractual agreement will be stored until the end of the taxpayer retention period (7 years).
Data processing is the result of the legal provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and of Art. 6 (1) (a) (consent) and/or (b) (necessary for the performance of the contract) of the GDPR.

Registration and forwarding of information:
You can use the Google +1 function box to publish information worldwide. Through the Google +1 function box, you and other users can access personalised content from Google and our partners. Google records information about your +1 activities in order to improve Google services for you and others. Use of the recorded information:
In addition to the uses explained above, the information disclosed by you will be used in accordance with the applicable Google data protection provisions. Google may create summarised statistics about the +1-activities of the user, pass these on to users and partners such as, for example, Publisher, Advertisers or related websites.
